Proteus Industrial Switchgear of Telford were asked to design, construct and deliver the panel board within seven days to satisfy the customer’s requirement and to minimise disruption to the business.
A G Hall Ltd of Barwell, Leicestershire were asked to upgrade the main switchgear installation of the Vision Express Optical Laboratory in Nottingham.
The existing equipment had been in use and added to over the years as different requirements were accommodated for the changing needs of the laboratory.
It was decided to upgrade the installation, to comply with the latest regulations and to finish with a supply that would match their current and future needs. A bespoke 800 amp panel board with 400 amp and 250 amp outgoing moulded case circuit breakers (MCCB’s) which would include all the various functionality of the previous installation in one purpose built panel was requested.
