Employee Success – Industrial
Spencer Yates2021-11-22T10:02:57+00:00As we continue to invest in our employees and their skill sets Chris Moran and Richard Shale are the latest graduates of our external training plan by the Electrical Distribution Association (EDA). The product knowledge modules cover a broad range of subjects from Introduction to Electricity to Cables & Cable Management. This investment helps nurture our team and provide additional knowledge and confidence within their roles.
Chris Moran started his time with the company as a Sales Office Administrator at our Redditch based wiring accessories factory RPP. He was offered an Account Manager role at RPP in May 2019 and continued to work as part of their skeleton team throughout the pandemic. Through his commitment to the company and hard work developing new and existing accounts, Chris was offered the Assistant Factory Manager position at Proteus Industrial in October 2020. Being Redditch born this resulted in Chris relocating his young family to Telford with the companies support.
Richard Shale joined the Proteus team in June 2016 as a panel board builder. After 8 months of quality workmanship and a willingness to progress, Rich started to assist in the testing of the panels and was promoted to Assistant Test Engineer. Working alongside our Test Engineer Rich picked up the processes involved and was made the main Test Engineer after a relatively short period. This new role puts Rich in charge of testing and quality control of all panel
boards and switch boards manufactured at our Telford based facility. It comes as no surprise that this is Rich’s third EDA module and his third pass with flying colours.
Both Chris and Rich have undergone intense internal training to develop as they have within the company. These modules will underpin their practical experiences in the factory with a strong knowledge base to build on moving forward. On this occasion Chris has successfully completed the Customer Service module and Rich the Industrial Controls.
We would like to congratulate Chris and Rich on their success with the company so far and on achieving exemplary grades on these EDA modules.
