Employee SuccessSpencer Yates
At Proteus Switchgear, investing in the skill set of our employees is vital to improving the quality of our output and ensuring our employees feel valued as members of the team. Shane Hancox and Ryan Blair are the latest in a line of supervisors and managers who have undergone external training to develop their knowledge. Both Shane and Ryan are integral to the day-to-day operations and this investment is a show of the faith we have in their abilities.
Shane Hancox joined the company in 2013 and has always shown an eagerness for the job and has always put himself forward for new challenges and applied himself in an exemplary manner throughout the past 8 years. Promoted to the role of Production Supervisor in 2019 – Shane is responsible for the bespoke specials department and is an integral cog in the machine. Over the years, Shane has developed an unrivalled product knowledge ‘on the job’, so the time was perfect to enhance Shane’s knowledge of electricity and how the products he builds work from an installation point of view.
Ryan Blair is relatively new to the company – joining us in June 2021. As an ISO9001:2015 accredited company, we felt it was important to invest further into our quality management setup with a new quality assurance and technical engineer. Ryan is now overseeing our quality assurance, strengthening our commitment to supply safe and efficient products. In just 3 months, Ryan’s aptitude for work is clear for all to see and he is already making marked differences in our quality management, but also in many other areas of the factory.
In recent weeks, both Shane and Ryan have undergone external training to complete an EDA module on the Introduction to the Principles of Electricity. We are proud to announce that they both passed the module with flying colours and have now set to work on the next one – in which, we have no doubt their application and output will be just as good.
From all the team at Proteus Switchgear, we would like to congratulate Shane and Ryan on this well-deserved success and look forward to watching them both continue to grow and be real assets to the company in the coming months and years.
