Proteus are proud to expand our range of domestic EV distribution boards with the introduction of a new 8 module enclosure. This larger IP65 rated board has been developed specifically for modern domestic installations that go beyond the traditional single EV charger setup.
As the UK moves towards greener energy solutions, more homes are incorporating multiple renewable technologies such as electric vehicle (EV) chargers, solar PV systems, and air source heat pumps. Our new 8 module EV distribution board has been engineered to accommodate these prosumer applications with ease. It provides ample space for wiring multiple renewable sources into one single board, helping to reduce the overall switchgear footprint on site.
This enclosure offers electricians enhanced flexibility during installation. We’ve deliberately removed the standard knockouts to allow full freedom for drilling cable entry points exactly where needed, supporting a cleaner layout. Extra consideration is always required to maintain the board’s IP65 ingress protection. Rubber grommets are provided for installers to maintain the enclosure’s water and dust resistance rating when mounting the board in position.
