On-site difficulties of cabling through a wall and tight access were overcome by a pair of ProBend 800 A rated bus bars leading to a 1600 A Pro 2000 switch board.
Originating in 1985, Printpak of Hinckley have grown substantially as a specialist provider of MIS System, CAD sampling, CTP printing, die cutting, windowing, gluing and packaging. As part of their ongoing investments the introduction of more modern equipment necessitated a review of their main electrical supply.
Chosen installation contractor, Armstrong Electrical of Nuneaton with advice from Western Power asked Proteus Industrial Switchgear of Telford to carry out a site survey and recommend a suitable solution. On-site difficulties of cabling through a wall and tight access were overcome by a pair of ProBend 800 A rated bus bars leading to a 1600 A Pro 2000 switch board. The totally bespoke unit also provided an additional Power Factor Correction (PFC) section for possible future use.
