EOSF, formed in 1959, is a co-operative of over 300 members. Working mainly in the Strathmore area, their main purpose is to provide drying, storage, market security and competitive prices for malting barley and other grain products for their members.
In 2012 they embarked on a £3 million expansion, installing state of the art grain drying equipment and increased storage. Local contractor, J W Wheatley, Commercial Street, Alyth undertook the electrical work. A 1600 amp panel board was required to power this facility. Other manufacturers being unable to supply equipment to the required specification, lead time and Proteus being the contractor’s preferred option and also the service we provide with site visits done before and after installation. General Manager of EOSF, Robin Barron, was delighted with the finished product and as a result, several further projects have been discussed.
