Replacing old equipment Proteus supplied a main switchboard for the robotics area with a 500 A incomer and 24 outgoing moulded case circuit breakers (MCCB’s) with integrated miniature circuit breaker (MCB) distribution boards with surge protection and multi-metering.
Struggling to source suitable switch panels in the time frame required Witney Cables Limited of Swindon turned to City Electrical Factors and Proteus Industrial switchgear for a solution.
The ability to produce not only standard distribution boards but bespoke units that in certain instances were required to fit in limited spaces were a key consideration during their recent contract at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom based at Shrivenham.
As a British manufacturer Proteus Industrial switchgear of Telford were able to fully support the installation by way of technical specification, data sheets and on-site liaison.

Outdoors a bespoke IP56 MCB distribution board was used with various contactors to switch the street and area lighting under PIR and timer control.
