Spacer Mount Solutions for Metalclad Consumer Units
Proteus Switchgear are proud to introduce two brand new spacer mount solutions designed to complement our recently launched metalclad consumer unit range. These innovative products, the Spacer Mount Frame and the Spacer Mount Battens, provide electricians with versatile, high-quality options for accommodating surface mounted cables when installing our consumer units.
Spacer Mount Frame
Purpose designed to match our metalclad consumer units from 4 to 22 modules, the Spacer Mount Frame offers a curved edge profile for a clean, professional finish. Manufactured in a matt white finish to match the enclosures, it features riv-nut screw fixings and multiple cable entry knockouts on the top and bottom. For installer convenience, each frame is laser etched with “This Way Up” for correct orientation and measures 30mm deep, providing ample clearance for surface wiring. This durable and accurately engineered frame ensures a precise and quick-to-fit solution.
Spacer Mount Battens
For maximum flexibility, the one-size-fits-all Spacer Mount Battens suit any new Proteus consumer unit from 4 to 22 modules. Like the frame, it has a curved edge profile, matt white finish, and riv-nut screw fixings but at 20mm depth. Each set is laser etched with “This Way Up” and comes with a fixing template to speed up on-site installation. Available as a pair or in a bundle pack of 4 sets, the batten system is ideal for contractors who need adaptable and professional installations.
Why Use a Spacer Mount?
Spacer mounts create extra clearance behind a consumer unit, enabling neat and compliant routing of surface mount cables or where rear entry is needed. Both new designs follow on from our first spacer mount launch back in 2015 and now, 10 years on, we’ve expanded the range to match our latest consumer units.
